The ‘Together Through Thick & Thin – Roma is Beautiful’ was an integration art project for roma and ‘non-roma’ participants in Hungary. Art can be a bridge between different people. That was the basic conception in the 4 times organized music, film and photography workshops. Thanks for the Norway Grants support 4-4 roma participants could joint free of charge to every workshops in every times. We collaborated with the Duna TV – Young Roma People to the TV indastry programm‘s as well, which could show them a possible future.

I got the project-manager position in the middle of this project. I’ve started the work as a project assistant. That was the point when I realized this is my way in the job market: Projects where I can help for others, I can do organizer tasks and everything is connecting with arts.

Of course we chose roma and ‘non-roma’ workshop teachers and helpers. The venues are also connected with the roma culture and community. Our goal was to integrate not just the participants but the local people as well. Creat from them a model, an actor, a story teller or a host. That’s made me lot of pre- and under- field-works to make the locals ready for the projects and to teach the participants how can they be part of the community without usability.
